thistle_chaser last night in dynamis had said LJ laid off most of their engineers..Well, I'd trust CNet better than the rumor mongering site. Sounds like they laid off some of their management.

I guess LJ is safe for now, though I'll back up and go to Movable Type if I have to. Tho I'll miss Semagic terribly.

Now, I'm not afraid of snakes, not at all. I know if that happened to us and it was Mom, you'd hear her screaming clear 'cross the country. (She-hates-snakes. Hence why I know one of the forbidden pranks is to use a realistic rubber snake; if I did that when I was little, I'd get my butt tanned) So I find this amusing, but I can understand why the lady was concerned. Could of been a poisonous snake and not a python...

Went to see WALL-E today. I got dragged out, just as I discovered my TV card no longer works. Prolly because of Win XP SP3 no longer likes the drivers and maybe it finally did die. I was getting a error that the remote thing was no longer working. And then the TV program wouldn't load..I think that card's sadly deceased.

But anyway. WOW. That's one cool movie, worth seeing. It's got a environmental message of course, (well, would when you're dealing with a garbage robot) but way cool, and well done. I'd want to see it again. Speaking of which..

I have a hankering to watch Short Circuit again. Not today, and that movie is on my "Find a DVD of that!" list..it's one I grew up with. ^^

Well, the big page move is finished. As a bonus..I've smashed the spammers that were sending me word salad keyword spam about me being able to buy handbags or worse, P0RN. *cringe, cringe* They'd been hitting my poor mail form and using that to spam me.

I think you can see part of what me and Brother Briggs used to kill 'em dead. I haven't gotten ONE of those dirty emails since we put up that solution. There's some stuff off the backend that slows it down a bit but it works. And tells spambots where to go.

Also, I don't think we can make fun of Gates too much anymore; he's retired. ^^

I finally got though the first series of Magic Knights Rayearth. Since I don't know if everyone on my flist has read the manga or seen the anime or both, I'm not gonna be too specific here with any story details; Unfortunately LJ does not have a spoiler tag, so here we go.

Have not seen the dub; I might see how erm, bad the dub is later on. Since I watch a lot of fansubs, I admit it; I tend to watch the sub first.

When Treasa found out I had it, she told me formerly there had been a subtitling gaffe with -san. I didn't see that here; only if I heard -san the person was usually called Mr. Like Fuu going "Mr. Monster". when it was basically "monster-san" (sorry, I don't know what "monster" is in jp off the top of my head)

The anime actually took quite some liberties with the manga story. However the sad ending remains; I won't spoil it, only that it's a big fat sad twister in the tail. And if you weren't expecting it...you'd cry at what the Knights had to do.

Also, it's very obvious they edited the logo presentation; that's a nitpick. They literally painted over what the jp logo was, didn't do a good job either since you can see the shadow of the old logo under the new. Frankly they should of used the logo on the front of the box, since you hear sword sliding in(but you don't SEE THE SWORD), it would of gone better. Seriously, if you're gonna use Mr. Digital Paintbucket, don't be sloppy like that.

Worth it though? I'd say so since I did like the manga, and I still read it over again from time to time. It's a fun series. ^^

Edit: Ok, figured out how RPGamer does the spoiler tags. So be warned. DO NOT highlight the below text if you have not watched the anime Magic Knights Rayearth as well as read the manga. Or else...(When I can finally make my own stylesheet, I mean to make a style for this, but right now I have to do it the sloppy way.)
First off, Presea dies?! That's kinda dumb, not to mention wrong; that creates a plot hole big enough to drive a Mack truck though. That didn't happen in the manga, she survives. They also rearranged certain events, like Hikari faces the swordsman before she even gets to see Rayearth. And facing Zagato for the first time when Hikari sees Rayearth? that's a bit messed up...Also that sorceress survives? Ick. She isn't supposed to... It's still a good story, but if you have read the manga, be warned; you'll be confused quite a few times.

The extra chara was pretty well handled however, not to mention the ending is almost the same, tho you don't see them standing together yelling, "It's not fair, it's not fair!!" but it's still a tearjerker. They still have to kill the princess..oh no ;_;

Seriously, I'd rather handle spoilers this way than LJ-cut since post once, and you can see what's under the cut. ^^ This way you have to highlight it to see the spoiler.

I got a report from Securina that I was missing a couple security updates, one of them a definition update from windows defender.

Took me a hour of rawrcomeonyoustupidmachine, but I finally got them installed. Prolly gonna run the monthly spyware scan tonight.

Also for the whm side, dadaginny, I'd suggest this vid: BCNM 60 vid Supplies for it at least from the WHM side; just need some MP food(I always use a glace), and since I know cal_renfro is a RDM, you prolly won't have to bring yags, tho I'd suggest bringing some MP restore stuff (Muslum's good.) in case things get hairy.
